 Life

And I cried out...
life, let me be.
Why this pain?
Can't I be free?
Looking full into my face,
Life replied, "You set the pace.
Even in your darkest hour,
Within your heart, you had the power.
The blame, the tears...
Which fill your years,
would not exist,
For you took the risk.
Every path that you choose,
has a fork you can refuse.
And if you want the best from me,
Then be aware of your destiny.
The puppet master has cut the strings,
but only you can dance and sing."

And in that moment, all Life said,
loosened blocks within my head.
Breathing air much purer now,
Live graced me and kissed my brow.
