Quiet Purity

I feel the quietness in the world tonight
it feels ....like everything is just...alright.

The blanket that covers the ground, the trees
is also covering our heart, so it seems.

Purity comes with the snow,
hiding the darkness that we all know.

Silent, so silent flakes fly as on wing,
but tenderly, so softly, as the angels do sing.

Your heartbeat strums as if it’s in tune,
hearing the sound of a Dove as it croons.

Hear it, oh feel it, the time between seasons,
though the wildness seems just beyond reason.

Tomorrow, will tomorrow bring a new day,
with despair, or hope that there’s a new way?
